Taking off from Stawell airport heading south to fly over the Black Range Scenic Reserve, an area rich in Aboriginal history, learn about this and the region as you fly to your first vineyard - Dog Rock Winery.
The Dogrock Winery, located in Victoria’s Pyrenees region, is an accomplished producer of premium, sustainably produced wines. Established in 1998 by winemakers Allen and Andrea Hart, Dogrock has accumulated some impressive achievements and accolades in a considerably short time.
A 5 RED STAR rated James Halliday winery and Certificate of Excellence from Real Review, Dogrock produces small batches of premium Riesling, Arinto, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Grenache, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Nacional and Graciano mostly from estate grown fruit. This winery is a little off the beaten track - however, no problems when you land with Grampians Helicopters. Next:
Flying over to Best's Wines - landing right between the vines. Best's Wines was named James Halliday "Best valued winery of the year" 2021 in the Wine companion awards.
Enjoy premium white wine and red wine tasting before heading on down to be guided on a private underground cellar tour, a great insight into the past, from the moment you step into the cellar door which was built in 1866.
Followed by a relaxing picnic hamper full of beautiful local seasonal produce (different food options to choose from to suit all diet requirements), supplied by a local restaurants. Sitting either on a picnic blanket or picnic tables (inside or out), this tour is great value for a perfect afternoon.
You will then fly back to Stawell airport over the township of Stawell before landing right where you started.
Options to add when checking out: a bottle of wine or celebratory cake or even extend flight time to fly over the Grampians NP. Plus - is this a special occasion and want to arrange something extra or special - just ask us.

Individual weight restriction of 136kg plus a combined weight restriction applies depending on flights taken.

Infants & Children: All passengers over the age of 3 years require their own seat and are charged the same rate as an adult. Infants under the age of 3 years are seated on an adults lap with additional belt, with no charge for children under 3 years. If you have two children between the ages of 3 years and 12 years who weight less than 77kg combined - they may share the same seat (seperate headsets) and only a one seat cost applies.
