Start with your very own hands on interactive and fun cookery class where you will learn how to prepare & create an authentic three course meal, using fresh & local Mornington Peninsula produce. This cook and dine event is perfect for a group of friends or family, a work group, birthday celebration or a weekend getaway where you can learn some cooking skills and dine at this spectacular location. Enjoy what you have created as lunch or dinner at the dining table overlooking the sea, together with Montalto Estate wines. Choose your preferred start time when booking as 10.30am for lunch or 5pm for dinner On arrival at this beautiful location in Mt Martha, Mornington Peninsula, just an hour from Melbourne you will be greeted by the cookery school host & teacher & don the aprons ready for the cooking session. The menu will be introduced with a brief description of the recipes, techniques & ingredients used in the class. The ingredients will be laid out ready & guests will have plenty of opportunity in the creation of the menu consisting of an entrée, a main dish, 2 side dishes & a dessert. Once the work is done, it is time to relax on our beautiful terrace overlooking the sea or lounge room, fireside. Enjoy a glass of bubbles & a savoury plate followed by the sit down dinner party style lunch or dinner. The wine served with lunch is from award winning Montalto Estate, a beautiful winery nestled in Mornington Peninsula, just 90 minutes south of Melbourne. The region is renowned for its unique maritime climate that produces exceptional cool climate wines, most notably Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Their focus is to create wines of exemplary quality and character that reflect the region and the vintage. The Montalto Estate Chardonnay 2018 (gold medal award & 95 points) is multi layered & crafted from the best parcels of fruit from the Montalto family vineyards across the Peninsula. The Montalto Pennon Hill Pinot Noir 2018 (gold medal award) showcases all the qualities that the Mornington Peninsula is best known for – perfume, purity, varietal expression and brightness. There will be wine notes for the two wines served to discuss during the event. Any dietary requirements or specific food allergy can met by asking all guests to advise at the time of booking. Duration of Cook and Dine is 3 1/2 hours with an estimated half cooking and dining.
